M9P is the M9, but with a mic and button. The sound quality is the same.
Head-fi.org: My (Late) Review of the MEElectronics M9 by Ishcabible (08/19/10) “Conclusion: Put simply, these are pretty amazing for $30.”
Head-fi.org: MEElectronics M9 - Impressions/Review by mvw2 (07/12/10) “It's above what I'd expect from a $60 earphone and a surprisingly good experience from what's only $20 on the street. These to me are not $20 earphones. The sound isn't $20. The packaging and accessories are not $20. It's a good $60 value and $80 retail wouldn't be bad for them.”

The Mind of Game: MEElectronics M9P Review by TheGame21x (02/26/10) “The cable is perhaps the best I’ve seen on any IEM. It’s lined with what appears to be delicate braided silver wiring inside and coated with a transparent plastic coating that both looks very attractive and makes it feel very durable. The cable is properly relieved at both ends which inspires confidence in terms of long term durability. Because of the great cable design, microphonics are negligible when worn straight down and practically non-existent when worn over-the-ear.”
In Ear Matters: [REVIEW] MEElectronics' In-Ears by Tai Ming Sow (11/01/09) “[UPDATE] With the new version of M9 spotting the transparent cable, I think it really deserves a Sonic Diamond Award™ for its outstanding value.”
Touchmyapps - MEElectronics Ai-M6 & Ai-M9 Review – Royalty on a Budget by Felix Yau (7/13/09) “Affordable, well built, and stylish with astonishing audio performance rivaling competitors that cost more than many times their price, Meelectronics M6 and M9 are great.”
Head-fi: The updated Meelectronics M9s: a short pictorial by ljokerl (01/10/10) “I'm personally very impressed with the update - the build quality was probably my only gripe with the old Ai-M9 for the asking price. With all of the improvements the M9s become my most highly recommended sub-$30 earphone for the moment as I expect far fewer issues with the new build.”
Head-fi: My personal impressions on Meelectronics Ai-M9 by DervishD (12/26/09) “Compared with the SoundMagic PL21, the M9 are better overall, specially taking into account the minimal price difference. Compared with the PL30, I like the M9 better…”
Head-fi: My review of Meelectronics M6, M9 and M11 by mp3 (10/12/09)“Being a dynamic IEM they require time to settle (burn in) to sound their best. Once settled the M9 offer a dynamic sound experience, with a tight and punchy bass that does not over-power the rest of the soundspectrum, the mids are lively, the highs are crisp and the soundstage is wide. The laidback and pleasing warmth is very nice sounding and one can listen to them for hours on end, without any fatigue. The detail in the overall sound is impressive for a dynamic IEM in this price range.
The M9 will make all music styles sound lively and enjoyable, with their dynamic sound nicely wrapped into a large soundstage, they make for a great listening experience that soon will have you tapping along to the music. It can also be noted that they respond well to the use of DSP’s and EQ’s.”
